Royal Caribbean, Weybridge

Part of my responsibility as Social Media Community Executive was to manage all of Royal Caribbean's key UK accounts; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

 

As Community Executive, it was important for me to liaise with the wider marketing team to ensure that any key marketing campaigns were supported on social media and that paid support was set up behind certain posts to ensure maximum reach.

I was responsible for all social posts on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram from November 2016 - May 2017. This involved image sourcing, photography, video creation & editing as well as writing the perfect copy to compliment key messages.

Working closely with the PR team, it was my responsibility to support Royal Caribbean's 'Extraordinary Intern-Ship' competition on social media.

 

Royal Caribbean wanted to offer one lucky visual storyteller the chance to win a 3 week paid 'intern-ship'. To enter, applicants had to share on Instagram their favourite eye-catching holiday snaps tagging @RoyalCaribbeanUK and #ExtraordinaryExplorer.

 

To support the campaign on social media and help encourage entries, I screened through all of the entries each week and combined some of the best entries into a collage; showing applicants just how strong the competition was! As a result of the marketing efforts on both a social and PR aspect, the competition exceeded our expectations raising Royal Caribbean's social media following dramatically; particularly on Instagram!
